It is designed for both. While the embroidery adds a decorative touch, the cotton construction is absorbent and durable enough for daily kitchen tasks like drying hands or glassware.

Because it is machine washable, you can simply toss it in with your regular laundry. To preserve the embroidery, we recommend washing in cold water and tumble drying on low or air drying.

The towel measures 18 inches wide by 28 inches long, which is a standard size for most kitchen towel racks and oven handles.

The embroidery is detailed and high-quality, but like most embroidered linens, you will feel the stitching on the reverse side. It is soft enough for general kitchen use but may be less absorbent on the specific area where the design is stitched.

The cotton fabric is durable, but like any textile, vibrant colors can fade over time with frequent washing. Following the care instructions—specifically avoiding high heat and harsh detergents—will help maintain the integrity of the cardinal and holly design.
