Wash the wraps using cool water and a mild, eco-friendly dish soap. Avoid hot water, as it will melt the wax coating, and let them air dry completely before folding them for storage.

With proper care and regular washing, these wraps can last up to a year or longer. Over time, the wax coating may naturally wear down, but they remain fully compostable at the end of their life.

It is generally recommended to avoid using beeswax wraps for raw meat or fish. Because the wraps are porous and washed with cool water, they cannot be sanitized to the high temperatures required to safely handle raw proteins.
