The Ellie Teak Ottoman is crafted from solid teak, which is naturally rich in oils that protect the wood from the elements. Over time, if left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to a soft, silvery-gray patina, though you can apply teak oil if you prefer to maintain the original honey-brown tone.

The cushion cover is designed for easy maintenance and is machine washable. Simply remove the cover from the cushion insert and wash on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, then air dry to preserve the fabric's water and UV resistance.

While the teak frame and cushion fabric are engineered to be weather-resistant, we recommend using a furniture cover or storing the ottoman in a shed or garage during harsh winter months or extended periods of heavy rain to extend the life of the materials.

Assembly is straightforward and requires only basic tools. You will need to attach the legs to the frame, which typically takes one person about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

The cushion is designed to sit securely on top of the square frame, but it does not feature ties or snaps to lock it in place. Because of its substantial size and weight, it stays firmly in position during normal use.
