The warmth of your hands is the key. Simply place the wrap over your bowl or food item and hold it in place for a few seconds; the heat from your palms softens the beeswax, allowing it to mold and create a secure seal as it cools.

We do not recommend using beeswax wraps for raw meat or fish. Because the wraps are porous and cannot be washed in hot water or sanitized in a dishwasher, it is safer to stick to produce, cheese, bread, and leftovers.

Wash them by hand using cool water and a mild, eco-friendly dish soap. Avoid hot water, as it will melt the wax coating and ruin the adhesive properties.

You might notice a faint scent of beeswax when you first use them, but they do not transfer any taste or sticky residue to your food. The ingredients are food-grade and safe for direct contact.

With proper care, these wraps typically last between 6 and 12 months. You will know it is time for a new set when the wraps stop holding their shape, become thin or frayed, or no longer stick effectively to themselves.
