Beech wood is naturally durable and resistant to wear, but like all natural wood products, it performs best when allowed to dry out between uses. To maintain its integrity, avoid letting the dish sit in standing water for extended periods.

The ridged surface elevates your soap bar, allowing air to circulate underneath. This airflow ensures the bottom of the bar dries completely, preventing the 'mushy' texture that occurs when soap sits in trapped water.

The dish measures 4.9 inches in length, 3.5 inches in width, and 0.78 inches in height. It is sized to accommodate most standard-sized cleansing bars comfortably.

While not strictly required, you can occasionally treat the wood with a food-safe mineral oil to preserve its finish and water resistance. Otherwise, simply wipe it down periodically and keep it in a dry area when not in use.

While it is designed for sink areas, it can be used in a shower provided it is placed in a spot that isn't constantly submerged or directly under the showerhead. Because it is untreated wood, ensuring it has time to dry out is key to its longevity.
