Unlike standard mounts that attach to the surface of your wall, this mount requires you to cut a section of your drywall to install the mounting box between your wall studs. This allows the TV arm to retract into the wall, letting your screen sit completely flush against the surface when not in use.

Check your TV's VESA pattern, which is the distance in millimeters between the four mounting holes on the back of your screen. This mount supports VESA patterns of 75x75mm, 100x100mm, 200x200mm, and 400x400mm.

Not at all. Despite the recessed housing, the articulating arm is designed to extend outward, allowing you to tilt and swivel the screen just like a standard full-motion mount. You get the same flexibility with a much cleaner, low-profile look.

It is more involved than a standard wall mount because it requires cutting into your drywall and ensuring the mounting box is securely fastened between your studs. If you are comfortable using a stud finder, a level, and a drywall saw, it is a manageable DIY project, but professional installation is recommended if you are not confident working with wall structures.
