The lid is designed for simple, one-handed operation. Since it is crafted from a single piece of wood, it is durable, but it does not feature a silicone gasket or airtight seal. It is meant for easy access rather than long-term airtight storage.

No, the spoon is designed to rest outside the cellar. The vessel is compact, and the lid is intended to sit flush against the top, so there is no internal storage space for the spoon while the lid is shut.

Because each piece is hand-carved from a single block of natural teak, every cellar will have unique grain patterns and color variations. You should expect your piece to have its own distinct character that differs slightly from the photos.
