Sneeboer Pull Hoe

Unlike a traditional hoe designed for chopping or moving large amounts of soil, this pull hoe is designed for precision. Its narrow, sharp blade is meant to be pulled just beneath the surface to slice through weeds without disturbing the root systems of your surrounding plants.

With a total length of 52 inches, this tool is designed to allow most gardeners to work from an upright, comfortable posture. If you are exceptionally tall, you may still need to bend slightly, but the long ash handle significantly reduces the strain compared to short-handled hand tools.

While the hand-forged steel blade is durable, this tool is best suited for light to medium soil maintenance. In very heavy, compacted clay, you might find it difficult to pull the blade through the surface effectively without first loosening the soil.

To keep the ash handle in good condition, store the tool in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Periodically wiping the wood with a light coat of boiled linseed oil will prevent it from drying out or cracking over time.

It is highly effective at slicing through young, emerging weeds and seedlings. However, for deep-rooted, established weeds with woody stems, you may need a more aggressive tool, as this hoe is optimized for precision weeding in crowded beds.
