Binchotan charcoal is naturally porous and known for its ability to neutralize bacteria and absorb impurities. By infusing the fabric with this charcoal, the cloth actively resists the buildup of odors that typically plague kitchen towels, keeping it smelling fresh for longer between washes.

Yes, the net-like weave is actually designed for high absorbency. The layered, 6-ply construction allows the cloth to hold a significant amount of liquid while maintaining a structure that dries much faster than traditional, dense terry cloth towels.

They may feel slightly crisp initially due to the starch used in the manufacturing process, but they are designed to soften significantly with use. After the first few washes, the rayon and cotton blend becomes noticeably softer and more pliable.

While these are machine washable, they perform best when treated gently. We recommend hang drying them rather than using a high-heat dryer, as this preserves the integrity of the unique weave and extends the life of the fabric.

The primary difference is the drying speed and odor resistance. Because of the open weave and charcoal infusion, these cloths dry much faster than standard cotton, which prevents the damp, musty smell that often develops in thicker, traditional towels.
