Maison Scalloped Lampshade

This lampshade is designed with a standard harp fitting. It will work with any lamp base that utilizes a harp and finial assembly, which is the most common hardware configuration for table and floor lamps.

Because this shade is handwoven from natural water hyacinth, slight variations in color, tone, and weave pattern are expected. These natural inconsistencies are part of the material's character and ensure that your specific shade is unique.

The woven nature of the water hyacinth creates a warm, diffused glow rather than bright, direct illumination. It is best suited for creating ambient lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, or reading nooks where you want a softer, more relaxed atmosphere.

A good rule of thumb is to ensure the lampshade is at least two inches wider than the widest part of your lamp base. We offer five sizes ranging from 10 to 18 inches in diameter, so measure your current base to determine which proportion best suits your specific lamp.

While water hyacinth is a natural fiber, we recommend keeping it in dry, indoor environments. Excessive moisture or high humidity can potentially compromise the integrity of the woven material over time.

To keep the shade looking its best, simply dust it regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a duster. Avoid using water or liquid cleaners, as these can damage the natural fibers.
