The screen cover is designed for direct finger contact. While it works well with bare fingers, it will likely struggle to register inputs if you are wearing thick cycling gloves.

It is weather-resistant, meaning it will protect your belongings from light rain, road spray, and splashes. However, it is not fully submersible, so it should not be expected to keep items dry during heavy downpours or deep puddles.
