The waffle weave increases the surface area of the fabric, which allows it to absorb water more efficiently than a flat weave. It also creates small pockets of airflow, helping the towel dry much faster between uses.

Because of the tight, waffle-textured weave, sand particles struggle to embed themselves into the fabric. A quick shake is usually all it takes to clear off any residual sand, making it significantly cleaner than traditional plush terry cloth towels.

It is designed to be versatile. While it functions perfectly as a bath or beach towel, its generous 35 x 65-inch dimensions and lightweight feel make it an excellent, breathable layer for use as a picnic blanket, a light throw, or even a stroller cover.

At 12.8 ounces, this towel is intentionally lightweight. Even when wet, it remains significantly lighter and less bulky than a standard plush bath towel, making it easy to pack or carry in a beach bag.

As with most 100% cotton textiles, some minor shrinkage is normal after the first wash. To maintain the integrity of the waffle weave, we recommend washing in cool water and tumble drying on a low setting or air drying.
