Since these are dried natural plants, they will arrive stiff. Simply soak the loofah in warm water for a few minutes before your first shower to soften the fibers and make it pliable.

While natural loofahs are excellent for exfoliation, they can be quite firm. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend soaking the sponge thoroughly to soften it as much as possible and using a very light touch during your first few uses.

To prevent bacteria growth, rinse your loofah thoroughly after every use to remove all soap and skin cells. Squeeze out excess water and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry completely between showers.

For hygiene reasons, it is best to replace your natural loofah every three to four weeks. If you notice any discoloration or an off smell, replace it sooner.

Yes, these sponges work effectively with both. For bar soap, rub the bar directly onto the wet sponge to create a lather; for liquid soap, apply a small amount to the center of the sponge and squeeze it to activate the foam.
