Chapel Farm Collection Ice Cream Forks

A gold wash is a thin layer of gold applied over the sterling silver. To preserve this finish, hand wash these forks gently with mild soap and avoid abrasive scrubbers or harsh silver polishes that could wear away the gold.

While designed as ice cream forks, their size and shape make them excellent for serving small desserts, appetizers, or even as cocktail forks. Their 5 1/8-inch length is versatile for any course requiring a smaller utensil.

These pieces are in excellent vintage condition, meaning they have been well-preserved and show minimal signs of age. However, as with any antique silver, you may notice very light surface wear consistent with their history.

Each fork features a 'Y' monogram on the front handle. The back of the handles features assorted letters, which is common for estate collections where pieces were acquired or engraved at different times.

Use a soft, non-abrasive polishing cloth specifically designed for silver. Be careful to polish only the silver handle and avoid rubbing the gold-washed bowl, as gold plating is delicate and can be easily scratched or removed.
