The Lacquer Company Octagonal Tray

Son Mai is a traditional Vietnamese lacquer method that involves applying multiple layers of natural resin, sanding, and polishing to create a deep, durable, and luminous finish. This process results in the tray's signature high-gloss sheen and smooth, glass-like surface.

While the tray is food-safe, it is primarily designed as a decorative accent piece. We recommend using it for organizing small items, displaying candles, or serving dry snacks rather than liquids or hot dishes to preserve the integrity of the lacquer finish.

To keep the tray looking its best, wipe it down with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or soaking it in water, as these can dull or damage the delicate lacquer surface.

With dimensions of 13.5 inches by 9.75 inches, the tray is well-suited for a variety of uses, such as holding a collection of perfume bottles, a small vase, or a stack of mail. The octagonal design provides a generous surface area while fitting comfortably on most console tables, coffee tables, or desks.
