While it is technically possible to anchor it to other surfaces, a level, solid foundation like a concrete patio or deck is highly recommended. This ensures the structure remains stable and square, which is critical for proper assembly and long-term durability.

This is a significant project that requires at least two to three people for safe assembly. Because of the size and weight of the metal roof panels and wood components, you should set aside a full weekend to complete the build.

The metal roof will absorb heat, but because it is an open-air structure, it provides excellent ventilation that prevents heat from being trapped underneath. It effectively blocks direct UV rays, keeping the shaded area significantly cooler than the surrounding exposed patio.

The Yardistry Carolina Gazebo is designed as a permanent, residential-grade structure with a robust frame and hardtop roof. While it is built for year-round use, you should clear heavy, accumulated snow from the roof periodically to prevent excessive weight buildup.

You will need a standard set of DIY tools, including a power drill, a socket set, a ladder, a tape measure, and a level. The kit comes with the necessary hardware, but having a second drill for switching between bits will significantly speed up the process.
