Keeko Tongue Cleaner

Copper is naturally antimicrobial, meaning it helps inhibit the growth of bacteria on the tool itself. It is also more durable than plastic and offers a slightly more flexible design that can be adjusted to fit the width of your tongue comfortably.

Rinse the scraper thoroughly with warm water after each use and dry it completely to prevent water spots. Over time, copper naturally develops a patina, which is normal; if you prefer to keep it shiny, you can occasionally polish it with a mixture of lemon juice and salt.

It can take a little practice, but the key is to start from the middle of your tongue rather than the very back. As you get used to the sensation, you can gradually move further back to reach more of the tongue surface.

Unlike plastic scrapers that degrade or harbor bacteria in scratches, a high-quality copper cleaner can last for years with proper care. You only need to replace it if the metal becomes damaged or if you simply prefer a fresh one.

It is generally recommended to use the tongue cleaner first thing in the morning, before brushing your teeth. This removes the buildup of bacteria and toxins that have accumulated overnight, allowing you to brush away any remaining debris afterward.
