While all solid wood boards can react to changes in humidity, this board's one-piece construction is generally more stable than boards made from glued-together strips. To prevent warping, avoid soaking it in water and apply a food-grade mineral oil regularly to keep the wood hydrated.

At 8 inches by 6 inches, this board is quite compact. It is best suited for quick tasks like slicing citrus, chopping herbs, or serving individual cheese portions rather than heavy-duty prep work like carving a roast or chopping large vegetables.

Hand wash the board with warm water and mild soap, then dry it immediately with a towel—never put it in the dishwasher. To maintain the finish, apply a food-safe wood oil or conditioner whenever the wood begins to look dry or dull.
