This portafilter is specifically designed for 51mm DeLonghi machines, including all models in the La Specialista and Dedica Maestro series. Please verify your machine's model number before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

A bottomless, or 'naked,' portafilter exposes the bottom of the filter basket, allowing you to watch the espresso extraction in real-time. This visibility helps you identify issues like channeling or uneven tamping, making it much easier to diagnose and improve your technique.

It includes a double shot filter basket, so you are ready to start pulling shots as soon as it arrives. You can also use your existing 51mm baskets if you prefer.

The rosewood handle is durable and finished for daily use, but it should be hand-washed only. Avoid soaking it in water or putting it in the dishwasher to preserve the wood's natural finish and prevent cracking.

If your grind size, dose, or tamping technique is off, you may experience some spraying or 'spurting' during extraction. This is actually a helpful indicator that your technique needs adjustment, and once you dial in your recipe, the extraction will flow cleanly into your cup.
