This board is a true all-mountain performer. Its directional shape and camber profile make it equally capable of carving hardpack groomers, navigating tight trees, and floating through deep powder.

The directional shape, combined with a 12mm taper, naturally encourages the nose to stay above the snow, which improves float in powder. It also helps you initiate turns more easily while maintaining stability when you're riding forward.

It sits in the mid-to-stiff range with a flex rating of 5-8. This provides enough snap and responsiveness for aggressive riding and high-speed carving, but it remains forgiving enough that you won't feel like you're fighting the board all day.

Directional Camber gives you the stability and edge hold of traditional camber under your feet, while the rockered nose provides the lift you need in softer snow. It’s designed to give you the best of both worlds: power for hard snow and float for deep days.

The Hometown Hero uses Burton's The Channel mounting system. It is compatible with most major binding brands on the market, though you may need specific mounting hardware or discs depending on the binding brand you own.

Like any high-performance sintered base, it performs best when waxed regularly. The Recycled Sintered WFO base is designed to be porous and absorbent, so keeping it waxed will ensure you maintain maximum speed and glide throughout the season.
