JoeFrex Tamper Base

A convex base creates a slight indentation in the center of your coffee puck. This shape helps guide water toward the edges of the basket during extraction, which can reduce channeling and promote a more even flow, especially with larger coffee doses.

This base has a 58 mm diameter, which is the standard size for many commercial-style espresso machines. Please double-check your specific portafilter basket diameter before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.

The silicone ring acts as a bumper. It allows you to safely tap your portafilter against the side of your basket or countertop to settle the grounds without scratching your equipment or making harsh, metallic noises.

This is a replacement tamper base. You will need a compatible handle to screw onto the base to use it as a functional tamper.
